Sven van den Bedem

Sven brings over 20 years of international experience leading large-scale projects across oil & gas, LNG, and renewables. Formerly Project Development Director for Shell’s Jackdaw offshore gas development, he has driven complex opportunities from initiation, through construction to start-up, navigating complex commercial models and regulatory challenges.

Sven’s track record includes pioneering the world’s first floating LNG facility, Prelude FLNG, and shaping cross-industry partnerships to integrate commercial scale floating wind with offshore platform electrification – advancing decarbonisation at scale. Beyond corporate leadership, he advises cleantech startups and serves as a Director at Aberdeen Renewable Energy Group, driving integration and accelerating the energy transition.
