Stavros Skarlis is a Research Senior Associate at Aurora Energy Research and co-leads the company’s research activities in Southeastern Europe. Since 2023, he also leads the Aurora’s analysis on flexibility markets in this region.
Before joining Aurora in 2022, Stavros spent more than 12 years in the automotive sector, where he acted as a Senior Engineering Consultant and Project Manager in the field of exhaust aftertreatment technologies for Diesel internal combustion engines and electrified vehicles.
Stavros holds a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering and a Masters in internal combustion engines and exhaust aftertreatment systems. Since 2013, he holds a PhD degree in Selective Catalytic Reduction technology for Diesel engines. In 2022, he also obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA). He has co-authored numerous peer-to-peer reviewed publications in journals, conferences, and books.
