Maksim Ageev

Maksim Ageev was born in Moscow, Russia. He is an international expert in energy economics and innovations working in this area since 2006 with successful accomplishment of numerous complex projects in Oil, Gas & Petrochemicals, Metallurgy, Mining and Metals, other industries, and infrastructure.
Maksim was graduated with honors from Moscow Power Engineering University where he also defended thesis on energy innovations and was awarded a degree of Candidate of science in economics (Russian analogue of PhD degree). As well he completed leadership development programs in UNC Kenan-Fragler Business School and INSEAD, Certificate Program for Innovation and Technology in Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
In 2006 – 2012 Maksim worked in the Russian-originated consulting and engineering companies providing services to the Russian national oil and energy companies and grew from the consultant to the manager of energy consulting department. He also took part in the reform of nuclear industry of Russian Federation.
Maksim joined Schneider Electric in December 2012 as a manager of specialized department in Energy and Sustainability Services Division focused on development and execution of the energy and resource efficiency optimization projects.
In July 2017 he was appointed a new Schneider Electric Country President for Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan (also managing some company operations in Uzbekistan), and spent more than 3 years living and working in the financial capital of Kazakhstan, Almaty.
In the middle of 2020, he moved to the global position in Schneider Electric in the Energies and Chemicals Segment organization in the role of Regional Vice-president for Europe based out of Schneider Electric’s Hub in Zurich, Switzerland, and currently leads the Segment business and executes global strategy in Europe.
Maksim is a regular moderator and speaker on public events in the new energies, digitization, energy management and industrial automation areas. He’s published more than 10 papers on energy and resource efficiency and co-authored the book “Energy management in power networks segment” in 2014.
Maksim is married and together with his wife they rear a baby daughter. In his free time, he goes to the gym and swimming pool, participates open water swimming competitions, and explores art exhibitions with his family.
