Liz Allen

Liz Allen is an internationally recognised business leader with more than three decades of experience leading transformation, growth, and performance improvement across the global energy and industrial sectors. As Director of Industrial Transformation at Galp Energia, she is responsible for accelerating strategic transformation across the Industrial Division, helping position the business for long-term competitiveness in a rapidly evolving energy landscape. Before joining Galp, Liz served in a number of senior executive roles at Shell plc, including Chair of Shell Chemicals Europe and Vice President NW Europe Chemicals & Products, where she led complex, multi-country businesses spanning chemicals, refining, commercial operations, and integrated value chains. Throughout her career, she has built a reputation for steering organisations through complex transitions, aligning diverse stakeholders around shared outcomes, and delivering sustainable value through strategy, innovation, operational excellence, and people leadership. Her experience spans BP, Criterion Catalyst, Shell and Galp, across technology, commercial, strategy, and general management disciplines. Having lived and worked across five countries and two continents, Liz brings a global perspective and proven track record of leadership in highly complex and changing business environments.
