Gergo Batta

Gergo BATTA, MSc in Mechanical Engineering and Energy Production Engineering.

He joined MAVIR ZRt. in 2008 as an intern, where his main task was to develop and manage the procurement of ancillary services. He has participated in several international projects and working groups, and was a member of the ENTSO-E Drafting Team preparing the Electricity Balancing Guideline.

In 2015, he joined Energiabörze Kft. as a commercial manager, while, from 2016, he managed the company as CEO. In the same year, he was elected Chairman of the Electricity Committee of the Hungarian Energy Traders’ Association (HETA), and, from 2019, he became member of the HETA board.

At the end of 2020, he returned to MAVIR ZRt., where he held the position of Director for System and Market Operation, and, from September 2021, he was appointed Deputy CEO for Operations. He led MAVIR ZRt. as acting CEO from June 28, 2024 until January 1, 2025.
