Dr Piotr Arak

Dr. Piotr Arak, Chief Economist of VeloBank and Assitant Professor at the Faculty of Economic Sciences at the University of Warsaw.

Member of the board of the Brussels-based think-tank European Roundtable on Climate Change and Sustainable Transition (ERCST), has several years of experience in economic analysis.

He has worked for various organizations, including the consulting firm Deloitte, the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), the analytical center Polityka Insight, the Chancellery of the Prime Minister of Poland, and the Ministry of Administration and Digitization.

He is a co-founder of the Polish Economic Institute, where he served as director from 2018 to 2023. He studied at the University of Warsaw, the Warsaw School of Economics, Université du Québec à Montréal, and Harvard Kennedy School.
