Managing Director - Head of Export Finance
Cristina joined SACE in 1998 as a project analyst at the Project Finance Division. She has more than 20 years’ experience in managing the full project cycle of complex transactions, mainly in corporate, asset, structured and project financings, mostly in emerging countries. Her background covers advisory, origination, structuring to different project parties and detailed due diligence. In 2008 she spent a few months travelling around Asia to prepare and facilitate the startup of the SACE Office in Hong Kong, identifying new potential business opportunities, developing relationships with clients and potential new clients in the Region. From 2011 to 2014 she was the Deputy Head of SACE Asset Management Department whereby she developed a significant experience in portfolio monitoring, management of distressed assets and restructuring of projects in jeopardy. She came back to the Underwriting Department in 2014 and starting from 2017, she is the Managing Director of the Export Finance Division, leading 30 professionals, in charge of the relationship with some Italian Large Corporates and structuring, negotiation, underwriting and management of SACE’s export finance transactions (corporate, structured & project finance).
She has a degree with honors in Political Sciences and a postgraduate degree in European and International Law and Economics. She did internships in Credit Agricole (Paris) and BPI (ex Coface – the French Export Credit Agency – Paris).
