Poland sees growing potential for cooperation with Kazakhstan amid green transition

Poland sees significant potential in developing partnerships with Kazakhstan’s energy sector. The primary focus is on the energy transition and the deployment of clean technologies. This was stated by Julia Horodecka, Head of the Polish Investment and Trade Agency (PAIH) office in Astana. According to her, the interest of Polish business in the region was confirmed by the business forum held on April 9. The forum featured a large delegation of companies, and it included winners of the “GreenEvo” accelerator programme.

Cooperation is centred on the modernisation of energy infrastructure, energy efficiency and storage solutions, as well as renewable energy projects. These mainly focus on wind and solar power. Additionally, the green tech sector—encompassing waste and water management—is a rapidly growing area of collaboration. These industries are becoming crucial components of Kazakhstan’s broader environmental and energy transformation.
