History of the Schneider Electric in Russia
Schneider Electric JSC is a Russian subsidiary of the international company Schneider Electric. Its history began in France in the 19th century (1836).
The history of the company in Russia dates back more than 100 years, and the company’s experience in the Russian fuel and energy sector – more than 40 years. In 1974 the first project of the company was implemented on the Russian territory at the Samara Oil Refinery. In the 1980s Schneider Electric supplied electrical equipment for the compressor stations of the “Urengoy-Pomary-Uzhgorod” main gas export pipeline.
Today Schneider Electric is the leading developer and supplier of integrated energy-efficient solutions and one of the largest electrical engineering company at the Russian market.
