Plastic Back

Plastic Back has developed a low-temperature depolymerization process able to convert difficult-to-treat plastic waste streams to oils (Naphtha) which can be upcycled to create new products.

The company is addressing a huge gap in the chemical recycling space – PVC waste streams.

The chemical solution provides unique advantages compared to existing technologies:
- Low-temperature conversion. Up to 100 C. (competition 500-1000 C)
- Treatment of ‘difficult’ plastic waste streams with high contamination levels (PVC, mixed, multilayer)
- Reduction of GHG emissions due to the non-incineration process
The company is now scaling up following years of R&D and market traction.
