WABAG has successfully implemented a large number of projects for the oil and gas industry, meeting the different requirements of refineries, petrochemical plants as well as oil production.

To ensure a continuous industrial water supply, it has installed raw water treatment plants for various types of raw water - seawater desalination plants as well as multi-stage treatment plants for e.g. lagoon water or river water as well as further treatment systems for the production of boiler feed water, cooling water, process water, etc.

For the treatment of the different streams of wastewater produced during processing, WABAG offers specific treatment schemes for environmentally - friendly discharge as well as for recycling and reuse.

Expertise in Water Recycling in the Oil & Gas Industry - for enhanced water availability

Over the past 20 years, WABAG has installed 17 plants for sustainable water recycling for refineries and petrochemical plants to close the water cycle and increase the availability of industrial water while protecting natural water resources. This allows more than 350,000 m³/day of water to be recycled and saved in the Oil & Gas industry alone.

In total, our water recycling and reuse plants enable us to reclaim and save more than 2.7 million m³/day of water every day.

These advanced and tailor-made treatment plants include various treatment steps employing proven and advanced technologies, depending on the individual requirements. The majority are equipped with ultrafiltration and reverse osmosis as high-end technologies.
