Ed Alford, VP Digital Transformation IT&S, BP is going to speak on Day 1, March 18, of the Go Digital Oil&Gas Middle East summit in Abu Dhabi. Ed will shed light on how BP is transforming and modernising the global IT function enabling BP to be the digital leader in the industry.

About the speaker:

With over 20 years of international business experience in the IT industry, Ed is an experienced senior executive who has worked in the Oil industry as a Global CIO and Senior VP in BP’s Top 100 Leadership team.

Prior to BP, ED worked for Andersen Consulting Ventures, securing funding of $45M from 2 major oil companies to start up a technology company in the Oil and Gas sector.

A multinational oil and gas company, BP, keeps up with the digtalisation and technology race. Company's portfolio list has been significantly extended during the past years and now features a line of "in-house innovations".

A year ago BP reported on the results of its new seismic device called Wolfspar that enabled the production processes to the discover more than 1 billion bbl of oil in the Gulf of Mexico.
