Uzbekistan is implementing measures to develop its chemical industry

Chairman of the management board at joint-stock company "Uzkimyosanoat", Zhurabek Mirzamakhmudov, told the Uzbek press about their measures for the diversification and development of new products in their chemical industry.

The large-scale reform of Uzbekistan's chemical industry began with the adoption of the president's decree, dated 25.10.18 number PP-3893, which defines the main areas for further development and diversification of the industry.

These include expanding the range of manufactured chemical products with high added value, modernizing existing production facilities and building new ones, reducing state participation in the authorized capital of chemical industry enterprises, attracting direct investment in the industry and integrating advanced scientific developments into production.

In 2019, 95.54% of shares in joint-stock company "Kukon Superfosfat Zavodi" were transferred to the company "Indorama", which is currently working on the modernization of superphosphate production. In 2020, they plan to sell 51% of shares in "Kungrad Soda Plant LLC" and joint-stock companies "Ferganaazot "and "Dekhkanabadskiy Kaliyny Zavod".
