Rosneft Sales Improved from 2020

Benefiting from expanded sales at home and abroad, Rosneft sold 208,000 tons of finished lubricants and greases in the first nine months of 2021, a 26% increase compared to the same period last year. - LubesnGreases

This growth is related to the expanded exports and resumed consumer demand after the pandemic-related measures were lifted.

Rosneft Lubricants said in a recent news release

The Moscow-based company is Rosneft’s lube arm.

The company said it gained increased confidence from its customers. In 2021, it obtained several approvals by leading producers of automotive equipment.

Rosneft Revolux-branded motor oils obtained approval by Scania AB, the Swedish heavy-duty truck, bus and marine engine producer. Also, it won approval by the German diesel engine maker MTU Friedrichshafen GmbH.

This year, the company launched a new retail motor oil product, Rosneft Magnum Racing, aimed for use in sport sedans and race cars.

Rosneft Lubricants became an official supplier of Gaz Group, one of the largest commercial vehicle makers in Russia. AvtoVaz, another large automobile manufacturer, extended its strategic partnership agreement with Rosneft and the lube maker continues to supply the Lada car maker plants in Togliatti with first fill motor and transmission oils.

This year, the company began supplying motor oils for Russian Railways, a state railway transportation monopoly. The company said a total of 18,500 tons of its products will be sold to RZD by the end of 2021.

Rosneft also doubled its GK-branded oil exports used in power and measurement transformers “thanks to the high demand for this product abroad and the active involvement with our foreign clients,” the company said.

Rosneft started to sell its Maximum-branded 15W-40 and 20W-40 motor oils for gasoline, diesel and heavy-duty vehicles in Hungary. This central European country, as well as Israel and Bangladesh, became new export destinations for Rosneft’s lubricants in 2021. The company sells its products in 27 countries worldwide. After Lukoil, Rosneft is the second-largest lubricant marketer in Russia.
