Nel wins 40-MW electrolyser order in northern Europe

Nel Hydrogen Electrolyser AS, a unit of Nel ASA, announced today it has been awarded a NOK-120-million contract to supply alkaline electrolysers for a combined capacity of 40 MW. - RenewablesNow

In addition to the electrolysis equipment, the contract also covers a front-end engineering and design (FEED) study related to the deliveries. The terms include pass-through mechanisms for steel and nickel price adjustments.

The electrolyser maker said it will conclude production as part of this order by the end of next year.

Nel did not disclose the name of the customer, only saying that it is “a high-quality North European energy company”.
