Linde switches on 1-MW green hydrogen production plant in Greece

Global engineering firm and industrial gases supplier Linde Plc on Tuesday kicked off the production of green hydrogen at a 1-MW electrolysis plant in Greece. - RenewablesNow

The facility is the first one of its kind in Greece. Its opening was announced in a LinkedIn post by Melissa Verykiou, Deputy CEO Member of the Board of Directors of Hydrogen Europe, after a tour within the complex.

The green hydrogen production facilities of Linde Hellas are located in the town of Mandra, West Attica region. The electrolysis process is supplied with electricity from renewable energy plants.

This was only the first stage, we will continue to explore new projects and invest in green hydrogen to achieve decarbonisation in all sectors of industry and automotive

Linde is the world’s largest supplier of industrial gases such as oxygen, nitrogen and hydrogen. Its green hydrogen production in Greece has received certification from German testing and certification service provider TUV SUD.
