The ceremony took place on Friday, July 18. During a government meeting on this day, Deputy Prime Minister Batyr Amanov reported to President Serdar Berdimuhamedov on the achievements within the oil and gas industry, including the completion of the new berth. The President acknowledged that this facility, with the capacity to load 2.06 million tons annually and handle 1.15 million tons of oil products, will enhance the export of Turkmen hydrocarbons and bolster the nation’s standing in the international market.

Guvanch Agadzhanov, Chairman of the State Concern “Turkmennebit,” addressed the President via video link from the pier, seeking his blessing to officially open the facility. Following this, local elders cut the ceremonial ribbon, marking the beginning of oil product loading with the first tanker.

Key Role of Kenar Enterprise

Situated near the city of Turkmenbashi along the Caspian Sea coast, the Kenar enterprise is pivotal in the logistics of petroleum products. It facilitates the storage, pumping, and shipment of gasoline, diesel fuel, kerosene, fuel oil, and other products for both domestic consumption and export.

The enterprise boasts a modern SCADA automation system that streamlines the accounting and shipment processes for petroleum products. It is connected to the TCOR through a pipeline network and features a railway overpass, inaugurated in 2018, capable of simultaneously loading up to 28 tank cars each day. The addition of the third oil loading berth will greatly enhance the operational capabilities of the Kenar enterprise, reinforcing its significance for the economy of Turkmenistan.
