CLEAN HYDROGEN PROJECTS IN CENTRAL ASIA AND CASPIAN

Green Hydrogen Production Plant – Svevind 2030-2032

It is assumed that the implementation of the project will allow for the exportation of electricity to EU countries. Production is planned to start in 2030, with the power plant reaching full capacity by 2032. The plant will produce 2 million tons of green hydrogen per year, equivalent to about one-fifth of the EU’s stated goal for green hydrogen imports by 2030.

Green Hydrogen Project in Uzbekistan – ACWA Power

ACWA Power is embarking on a significant new venture to build a wind farm-powered facility, aimed at producing 3,000 metric tons of green hydrogen annually. The initial phase is a stepping stone towards a bigger project: scaling up production to 120,000 tonnes per year in the second phase. Once fully operational, this will be ACWA Power’s second utility-scale green hydrogen project, following the NEOM Green Hydrogen Project in Saudi Arabia.

Green Hydrogen Production Pilot Project – Green Spark

The first pilot project for the production of green hydrogen in Kazakhstan, implemented by “GreenSpark” LLP, has been put into operation.

This is a one-of-a-kind first implementation in the history of Kazakhstan’s energy sector.
