The hydrogen business model is one of the main policies for driving growth in the production and use of low carbon hydrogen and the development of a low carbon hydrogen economy in the UK.

The Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy published indicative Heads of Terms for the agreement for the low carbon hydrogen business model in April 2022 and is working to finalise the business model by the end of 2022.
