Strengthening Regional Cooperation for Green Hydrogen: Infrastructure Pathways and Opportunities

In partnership with
! This is a past episode of the Go Net Zero Energy Talks

PRESENTATION LANGUAGES – ENGLISH & RUSSIAN

The webinar will run in both languages.

TITLE #1: GreenHyRECA research project – geospatial cost optimisation for green hydrogen infrastructure development

GreenHyRECA is a research project focused on using geospatial cost optimisation to plan and develop efficient and cost-effective green hydrogen infrastructure across regions. It helps identify the best locations for production, transport, and storage based on economic and geographic factors.

TITLE #2: Strengthening Regional Cooperation for Green Hydrogen: Infrastructure

The presentation highlights the role of regional cooperation in Central Asia for the development of green hydrogen and green value chains. Key topics include hydrogen certification, the development of green supply chains, infrastructure needs, political cooperation, and human capital development. The report draws on international experiences, including Latin America and the Caribbean, the Gulf countries, and Southeast Asia, while considering the deep historical ties between the region’s countries, including their history of energy cooperation. The presentation will serve as a strong foundation for an expanded discussion on the role of regional cooperation in Central Asia in the context of advancing green hydrogen.
