In 2023, the world saw a significant increase in plastic circularity projects focused on advanced recycling, mechanical recycling, and sorting.
Many new projects were announced, upgrades were made to existing facilities, and new plants were launched around the globe.
These efforts aimed to reduce plastic waste and promote the circular economy by creating a closed-loop system where plastic waste is recycled and reused.
In this presentation, the Go Circular project team looks closely at some of the plastic circularity projects that were announced and updated in 2023.
