Roadmap to Successful Transformation

At the Go Digital Energy 2024 conference, Burçak Timuçin, Group Adaptation Manager at SOCAR Turkey, outlined her ‘Roadmap to Successful Transformation’, which involved discussing the critical role of change management in digital transformation within the oil and gas sector.

Burçak emphasised prioritising people in technological initiatives, sharing insights from their experiment of integrating a change management team within the digital transformation directorate. She introduced the “Gen D” initiative, aimed at fostering a digital culture among SOCAR Turkey’s 6,000 employees, and highlighted schemes like the Citizen Developer Programme and Masters of Data, which empower employees with RPA and data analysis skills. Burçak stressed the importance of aligning digital transformation efforts with business objectives, managing risks, and ensuring sustainable, long-term success.
