Navoiyazot (Uzbekistan) will complete the construction of nitric acid production with a capacity of 500 thousand tons per year this year. Investment in the project is $ 216.6 million.
The contractor for the project is Casale SA. The facility will create 122 jobs.
The company also implements a project for the construction of an ammonia and carbamide complex with a capacity of 660 thousand tons and 577.5 thousand tons, respectively. Completion of the project is scheduled for 2020. New capacities will replace outdated first and second ammonia lines.
The company will create 491 jobs. The complex is being built together with partners – Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Ltd and Mitsubishi Corporation. Investments in the project amount to more than $ 985 million.
In addition, Navoiyazot plans to commission the production of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) in September 2019. The enterprise will produce up to 100 thousand tons of PVC, 75 thousand tons of caustic soda and 300 thousand tons of methanol. Investments in the project amount to more than $ 500 million.
Navoiyazot, the largest chemical company in Uzbekistan, was commissioned in 1964. The plant specializes in the production of nitrogen fertilizers, nitronic fiber, as well as integral products of organic synthesis.
