ExxonMobil and Uzbekneftegaz are going to implement a unique project for Central Asia in Uzbekistan’s Fergana oil refinery – production of base oils of groups II and III, the press service of the Uzbek oil and gas company said.
The cost of the project is about $150 million, the implementation period – 2018-2021. ExxonMobil will be the licensor of technological equipment in the project.
During the talks in Tashkent, the parties discussed further actions and measures to accelerate the project, in particular, signing license packages and engineering agreements, the possibility of price optimization with regard to the updated configuration of the production process, as well as obtaining additional base oils from the residual fraction.
ExxonMobil is an American company, the largest publicly traded oil company in the world, one of the largest corporations in the world in terms of market capitalization ($417.2 billion as of Jan. 28, 2013). In 2007, the company ranked second in Fortune 1000, the list of the largest public American companies, and in Fortune Global 500, the list of the world’s largest corporations.
